REGULAR MEETING
May 9, 2000
The Moab City Council held their regular meeting on the above date in
the Council Chambers of Moab City Offices, located at 115 West 200
South, Moab, Utah. Mayor Karla R. Hancock called the Pre -Council
Workshop to order at 6:30 p.m.
Mayor Hancock called the Regular City Council Meeting to order at
7:00 p.m. Councilmember Joseph Lekarczyk led in the Pledge of
Allegiance. Also in attendance were Councilmembers Kyle Bailey,
Gregg W. Stucki and Kirstin Peterson; City Manager Donna Metzler,
City Recorder Rachel Ellison, Community Development Coordinator
David Olsen, City Attorney Chris McAnany, Acting Temporary Police
Chief Michael NaVarre, Police Officer I Jon C. Morgan, Police
Sergeant Steve Ross, City Treasurer Laurie Ramstetter, and
Community Development Coordinator David Olsen. Ten (10)
members of the audience were present.
Mayor Hancock opened the Public Hearing on Solicitation of Public
Input on Center Street Court Project — City Selected Community
Development Block Grant 2000-01 Small Cities Program Project at
8:10 PM.
Community Development Coordinator Olsen stated that the City had
selected the Center Street Sport Court Project as the Community
Development Block Grant 2000-01 Small Cities Program Project.
Community Development Coordinator Olsen then showed a schematic
of the proposed Sport Court and detailed the project.
Councilmember Peterson suggested that the City use the project to be
an exemplary project for reducing light pollution.
Bob Owen stated that he thought this was a great project.
Mayor Hancock closed the Public Hearing on Solicitation of Public

8:10 PM.
