A RESOLUTION:
ENDORBING THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMISSION
1989 GOALS
WHEREA~, the Economic Development Advisory Commlmsion (EDAC) has developed
a comprehensive list of goals for 1989; and
WHEREAS, these goals are s~,mmmrized as follows:

Promote the Town Council's position to retain County Government Center in
Leesburg.
Promote the extension of the Dulles Toll Road to Leesburg.
Continue promoting Leesburg's attractiveness for q, mlity economic
development and as a good place to purchase goods and services.
Maintain speaker's forum for EDAC monthly meetings.
Lend support to the Airport Commission's efforts to republish the
Leesburg Airport Marketing Brochure.
Continue South King Street landscaping improvement progrsm~
Expand industry visitation program to include new businesses and retail
and service businesses.
Promote economic development consistent with the Town Plan for Route 7 and airport
Publish "Welcome to Leesbur~' brochure.
Provide speakers to local groups.
Promote the establishment of an institution of higher learning in
Leesburg.
Participate more actively in NAIOP.
Establish and m~intain active media relations in the area of economic
development.
Support the expeditious completion of the design and construction
Improve display unit to include tourisn~
Update economic development and tourism brochures.
Review the proposed H-2 District Ordinance.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The Economic Development Advisory Commission's 1989 goals are hereby supported and
endorsed as consistent with the economic development objectives of the tow~
