SPECIAL MEETING JANUARY 4. 2001 The Information Inc., of the City of Lynwood met in a Special Session at 11330 Bullis Road on the above date at 9:20 a.m. Chairman Richards presiding. _ Directors Byrd, Rea, Reyes, Sanchez, and Richards answered the roll call. ~. Also present were City Manager Davis, City Attorney Thever, Secretary Hooper - and TreasurerPygatt. Secretary Hooper announced that the agenda had been posted in accordance with the Brown Act. PUBLIC ORAL COMMUNICATIONS (Regarding Agenda Items Only) NONE PUBLIC ORAL COMMUNICATIONS NONE Item# 4 STRATEGIC PLAN & IMPLEMENTATION PROGRAM REDEVELOPMENT A) Concept Approval of Project on Long Beach and Pluma Mr. Bay stated he is pleased to negotiate with the City of Lynwood and would like to take this project to the next step. Director Byrd left at 9:50 a.m. Director Rea stated he is truly pleased with the project. Director Reyes questioned if there was any problems with the other property owners. Mr. Bay stated they are not having any problems at the moment. Director Reyes questioned if the other property owners were interested with this project. Mr. Bay stated that the other property owners were pleased with the project. Chairman Richards questioned if there were a variety of site plans for this project, and also for the parking lot. Mr. Bay stated he does have a variety of site plans and would like for Council to see them. Marvin John stated they have over (100) one hundred site plans. Director Reyes questioned the time frame for this project. Mr. Bay stated that this project has to be completed by this year. Director Rea stated that he is really happy with this project. It was moved by Director Reyes, seconded by Vice Chairman Sanchez to approve in concept the proposal shopping center at Long Beach Blvd. and Pluma. 003 ROLL CALL: AYES: REA, REYES, SANCHEZ, RICHARDS NOES: NONE ABSENT: BYRD ADJOURNMENT Having no further discussion, It was moved by Director Reyes, seconded by Vice Chairman Sanchez and carried to adjourn the meeting at 10:12 a.m. ~~ Paul H.
