Konopek Jr., Chief of Police PUBLIC NOTICE JUVENILE LAW ENFORCEMENT RECORD AUTOMATIC EXPUNGEMENT Public notice is hereby given that the Plainfield Police Department in Plainfield, IL, has completed the automatic expungement of all eligible juvenile records as set forth in the Illinois Juvenile Court Act of 1987, (705 ILCS 405/5-915). Juvenile law enforcement records may include records of arrest, station adjustments, fingerprints, the issuance of a notice to appear, or any other records or documents maintained by any law enforcement agency relating to a minor suspected of committing an offense, and records maintained by a law enforcement agency that identifies a juvenile as a suspect in committing an offense, but does not include records identifying a juvenile as a victim, witness, or missing juvenile and any records created, maintained, or used for purposes of referral to programs relating to diversion. (705 ILCS 405/1-3(8.2)). Please be advised this does NOT apply to violations of traffic, boating, fish and game laws, county or municipal ordinances. This document serves notice that the Plainfield Police Department has completed the automatic expungement for records that occurred between January 1, 2000 and December 31, 2012.
