AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT FOR CONSULTING SERVICES TO
DEVELOP DESIGN GUIDELINES FOR THE PROPOSED H-2 CORRIDOR
OVERLAY DISTRICT
WHEREAS, this Council considers the proposed H-2 corridor overlay district an important
plamniug tool to improve the appearance of Leesburg's m~or entrance corridors and to ensure
reasonable compatibility of the architecture along these corridors with the town's historic district and
historic structures; and
WHEREAS, a Request For Proposals was issued on March 6 for consulting services to develop
design guidelines for the proposed H-2 corridor overlay district; and
WHEREAS, the town msrmger and planning department recommend a contract with Land and
Community Associates, of Charlottesville, VA. as the most q,,sli~ied £n,m to perform this worl~
THEREFORE, RESOLVED the Council of the Town of Leesburg in '~rh'~Mn~ as follows:
The msuager is authorized and directed to enter into a time and materials contract with Land
and Community AssoMates in a form approved by the town attorney and in an smount not to exceed
$ 18. 000 to provide consulting services under the terms of the scope of services under the
