AUTHORIZINGTHECLOSINGOFCERTAINTOWNSTREETMFORTHENVBIA
~, the Northern Vh-ginia Buildi-~ Industry Association is sponsoring a ton kilometor road
race at 8:00 a.m. on June 11, 1989; and
WI-IEREA~, the race is run to benefit the Loudoun County homeless sheltor; and
WHEREAS, over 500 runners are expected to participato; and
WHEREAS, the race route includes some streets located within the town limits; and
WHEREAS, the event is expected to last approximately two hours:
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in V'~rginia as follows:
The town re-,roger and police chief are hereby authorized to close the town streets shown on the
attached map for the time necessary to allow racers to pass during the NVBIA ten kilometor race on
June 11, 1989.
