AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A
GRANT FROM INDIANA CRIMINAL JUSTICE INSTITUTE
WHEREAS, the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute, Drug & Crime Control Division, through
its American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Program, has grant
funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond, through the Richmond Police Department, desires to
submit a grant application to pay for thirty (30) ICOP In -Car Video systems;
and
WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Police Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant
application to the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute, ARRA Program to pay for thirty (30)
ICOP In -Car Video systems.
2. The City of Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant funding
in an amount up to One Hundred Fifty-six Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($156,000.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to pay for
thirty (30) ICOP In -Car Video systems.
Passed and adopted this 3rd day of August, 2009 by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana.
