PRESENT: Mayor Brad Andersen, Council President Robyn Keyes, Council Member Dan
Gubler, Council Member Kathy McNamara, Public Works Director Zech Prouse, City Clerk
Julie Hammond, and Treasurer Sullivan.
ABSENT: Council Member Rob Geray.
VISITORS: Norte.
Donation of Funds for Historical Museum Waterline Repair: Director Prouse explained that
the Historical Museum had a service line leak. He suggested donating money to repair the water
line, moving the City shut-off to the side, and installing a meter pit.
Council Member McNamara asked the cost of repair. Director Prouse indicated a price range of
$500 to $1,000.
Council Member Gubler asked how much the City had already given the museum this year.
Mayor Andersen and Council Member McNamara reported less than $200 for a rug. Mayor
Andersen reminded everyone that the City usually donates $500 to $600 a year to the museum.
Council President Keyes suggested forfeiting the donation and help them problem solve.
Council Member McNamara suggested a list of items the museum needed or wanted. Mayor
Andersen stated that the City requires a list from others and we treat everyone the same.
Council Member Gubler asked how much the City donated towards the porch for the museum.
Director Prouse indicated that the soffit and fascia for the porch was $2,700.
Mayor Andersen suggested giving them the $500 donation and explained the history of the
Historical Committee. He stated that they were supposed to be under the City of Iona and follow
the open meeting law rules of posting agendas and minutes, but they didn't want to so they
became independent of the City.
Mayor Andersen entertained a motion. Council Member Gubler motioned to install a meter -pit,
and donate up to $500 for the Historical Museum water line repair. Council Member McNamara
seconded the motion. Motion carried by roll call vote:
