Director Pedroza would like the calendar to include a dedication to those people that lost
their lives in the September 11`h New York tragedy. This information can be added on
the front or back page of the cover. It must include the Police & Fire Department. He
feels that this addition will signify respect to those that lost their lives as well as to their
family members.
Director Richards suggested doing a front cover collage of the Natatorium. He also
suggested including all activities for January, 2003.
Chairman Reyes appointed out that the front page is exactly the same as the back page.
He also stated that maybe the September 11`h Memorial can be put on either page.
Director Rodriguez stated that it would be a good idea to have the Lynwood Natatorium
on the front page of the calendar. He also inquired about the delivery of the calendar to
the residents. Assistant City Manager Hempe responded by saying that the calendaz
2002 will be hand-delivered to every home in Lynwood.
Director Pedroza asked the printing cost of this calendaz. It was mentioned that it would
cost $30, 000 to $35,000 to print the calendars.
Assistant City Manager Hempe indicated that staff will make the necessary changes
suggested by City Council and the printing of the calendaz will be ready by mid-January
for their review.
Director Richards stated that staff has done an outstanding job on putting the calendar
together and throughout the years the work has improved tremendously.
