LYNWOOD INFORMATION, INC.
REGULAR MEETING
MARCH 5, 2002
The Information, Inc. of the City of Lynwood met in a Regular Meeting at 11330 Bullis
Road on the above date at 6:30 p.m.
Chairman Reyes presiding.
Directors Byrd, Richards, Rodriguez, Pedroza, Reyes answered the joint roll call for all
agencies.
Also present were City Manager Gonzales, Interim City Attorney Montgomery, Secretary
Hooper and Treasurer Pygatt.
Secretary Hooper announced that the agenda had been posted in accordance with the
Brown Act.

Item #4: MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS:
It was moved by Director Rodriguez, seconded by Vice Chairman Pedroza and carried to
approve the following minutes.

• Regular Meeting, December 18, 2001
• Regular Meeting, February 5, 2002
• Regular Meeting, February 19, 2002
• Special Meeting, February 21, 2002
Item #5: THE INTERNET FREEDOM AND BROADBAND DEPLOYMENT
ACT
HR 1542 would waive this requirement for long distance data markets, giving these
companies control of the nation's telecommunications and technology infrastructure and
threatening the future deployment of both broadband and dial-up Internet services. The
National League of Cities strongly opposes this Legislation because of the potential
negative impact [hat it could cause on consumers, service quality, and bridging the digital
divide.
It was moved by Vice Chairman Pedroza, seconded by Director Rodriguez and carried to
receive and file this information.
Item #6: WARRANT REGISTER
It was moved by Director Richards, seconded by Director Byrd to adopt Resolution:
RESOLUTION NO. 2002.005 ENTITLED:
A RESOLUTION OF THE LYNWOOD INFORMATION INC. LYNWOOD,
CALIFORNIA ALLOWING AND APPROVING THE DEMANDS AND
ORDERING WARRANTS THEREFORE.

Item #7: INVESTMENT POLICY
The Statement of Investment Policy has been prepazed to establish guidelines for the
prudent investment of the Lynwood Information Ines, idle cash.
Chairman Reyes continue this Item to the next Regular Council Meeting.
Vice Chairman Pedroza requested a balance sheet and more information on the cash
investment policy.
City Manager Gonzales stated he would provide the Directors with this information.
ADJOURNMENT
Having no further discussion, it was moved by Vice Chairman Pedroza, seconded by
Director Rodriguez and carried to adjourn the meeting at 6:35 p.m.
