WHEREAS, the Ontario international Airport located in
Ontario, California, is regional in character and presently serves
San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, together with portions of Los
Angeles and Orange Counties, respectively, with rapidly expanding
domestic air service; and
WHEREAS, there are in excess of three million people residing
n the Greater Metropolitan Los Angeles Area within less than a fifty
minute drive from the Ontario International Airport; and
WHEREAS, its present facilities accommodate all scheduled
air carriers presently serving the Los Angeles International Airport
as a prime provisional and alternate facility in Southern California;
and
WHEREAS, the rapidly expanding industrial, economical, educa-
tional, and residential areas require additional airlines service,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Temple City respectfully urges the Civil Aeronautics Board in the
Transpacific Route Investigation Docket #16242 to approve the applica-
tion of the Ontario Airport Commission for air service directly from
Ontario to Hawaii and other Pacific areas.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that auth;:rization is given for this
resolution to be transmitted to all parties to the proceedings having
a direct interest in this Application.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly

Temple City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day of
