AUTHORIZING THECHARGE-OFFOFUNCOIJ~CTIBLEPERSONAL
PROPERTY TAXES FOR 1984
WHEREAS, the 1950 Code of V'n~uia, as amended, Section 58.1-3940 provides for collection of
local personal property taxes to be enforceable for only five years following December 31 of the year
for which such taxes were assessed; and
WHEREAS, the town's fzuancial records contain outstanding personal property taxes for the
year 1984:
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in ~r~rginia as follows:
The Director of Finance is authorized to charge-off from the town's fmancial records all
outstanding personal property taxes for the year 1984.
