AUTHOI~I~G THE TOWN MANAGER TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT WITH
VDOT FOR APPROVAL OF THE FINAL DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION AND TOWN
PARTICIPATION OF COSTS OF THE LAWSON ROAD RELOCATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Lawson Road Relocation Project is an Urban System Project for the Town of
Leesburg in the VDOT 6-Year Improvements Program; and
WHE~, bids for construction of the project have been received by VDOT and L.F. Franklin &
Sons of Stevenson, %r~rginia is the low bidder; and
WtIEREAS, VDOT must receive approval by the Town of Leesburg before the Commonwealth
Transportation Board can award the construction contract:
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The Town Manager is authorized to sign the agreement with VDOT regarding the construction,
operation and maintenance of relocated Lawson Road designated as Project U000-253-103, PE-101, RW-
201, C-501.
