A P~SOLUTION: NAMING THE I.EESBURG PUBLIC WORKS WAREHOUSE AND
MAINTENANCE FACILITY A~TER RAYMOND L. HOUGH
WI-I~, Raymond L. Hough served the Town of Leesburg with distinction as an employee
for nearly 40 years until 1961; and
WHE~, during this period Raymond L. Hough's responsibilities included all facets of
municipal public works including supervision and operation of the town's water and sewer systems as
well as street maintenance; and
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor John W. Tolbert, Jr., in dedicating the new public works warehouse
maintenance facility on July 13 suggested that this facility be named after Mr. Hough in honor of his
extraordinary contributions to public works operations within Leesburg; and
WHEREAS, this honor also serves to recognize progress achieved in the town's public works
operations and to link the future with our past as the former town shop on Liberty Street served
Leesburg's citizens admirably for most of this century.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The public works warehouse and maintenance facility on Route 7 is hereby
officially named the Raymond L. Hough Maintenance Complex in honor of Mr. Hough's lifetime of
contributions to the public works and overall operations of the Town of Leesburg.
SECTION II. This dedication shall be evidenced by a plaque in his honor to be installed in the
entrance vestibule of the building in future ceremonies to be conducted by the Honorable Robert E.
Sevila, Mayor and the Honorable John W. Tolbert, Jr., Vice Mayor.
SECTION III. A copy of this resolution shall be forthwith transmitted to Mr. Roger Hough, son
and Anna Rollison, daughter of Mr. Raymond L. Hough.
