REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 18, 2003 ' The Lynwood Information, Inc. of the City of Lynwood met in a Regular Meeting in the Council Chambers, 11330 Bullis Road on the above date at 6:25 p.m. Chairman Pedroza presiding. Directors Byrd, Reyes, Richards, Rodriguez and Pedroza answered roll call. Also present were City Manager Gonzales, Legal Counsel Montgomery, Secretary Hooper and Treasurer Pygatt. Secretary Hooper announced that the agenda had been: posted in accordance with the Brown Act. PUBLIC ORAL COMMUNICATIONS (Regarding Agenda Items Only) NONE PUBLIC ORALS COMMUNICATIONS NONE CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Director Richards, second by Director Reyes to adopt the following Minutes, Resolution and receive file information. Item #4: MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING ~' • Regulaz Meeting January 21, 2003 i - Item #5: NATIONAL BLACK CAUCUS OF LOCAL ELECTED OFFICIALS 2003 CITY CULTURAL DIVERSITY AWARDS PROGRAM Sponsored by the National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials of the National league of Cities, Lynwood has applied for the "Making an Affirmative Difference in Our Nation's Cities" Awards. NBC-LEO recognizes the growing diversity in America's cities. As a result, NBC-LEO has established the City Cultural Diversity Awards program as a means of demonstrating quality and innovation in relation to the many aspects of cultural diversity. The City of Lynwood has submitted the "We Are One" project for this program. "We Are One" is apolicy-making philosophy and strategy adopted by the Lynwood City Council that literally reinvents the community approach to cultural diversity. Item #6: APPROVAL OF THE WARRANT REGISTER RESOLUTION NO. 2003.005 ENTITLED: A RESOLUTION OF THE LYNWOOD INFORMATION INC.
