AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND
DISCONTINUING A 15-FOOT WIDE SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT IN THE SOUTHERN
HALF OF THE 700 BLOCK OF THE VACATED WALNUT STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY.
WHEREAS, it has been shown to the Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, that the
owners of 425 West Dunklin in the City, have petitioned the City Council to
vacate a sanitary sewer easement; and
WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not inconvenience the public or the
citizens of the City to discontinue the sanitary sewer easement for public use as
described in Section 1 of this Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, hereby declares it necessary,
reasonable, and proper to discontinue as a sanitary sewer easement the area described as the
southern half of the 700 block of the Walnut Street right-of-way and forever vacate the following
described sanitary sewer easement in said City:

Section 2. The statutory right of reversion in the owners of the abutting property is
hereby confirmed, as is provided by the laws of the State of Missouri, the Mayor and the Clerk
of the City are hereby authorized to execute all necessary instruments required to confirm the
reversionary rights of the owners of property abutting on the area vacated, as described in
Section 1 of this ordinance, in the right of way vacated.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its

DESCRIPTION FOR PARTIAL RELEASE AND VACATION OF APART OF THE SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT
DESCRIBED IN BOOK 197, PAGE 283, COLE COUNTY RECORDER 'S OFFICE.
Part of a sanitary sewer easement located in the City of Jefferson, Cole County, Mj$$ourl being of record in
Book 197, page 283,, Cole County Recorder's Office and described therein a5 follows;
A strip of land 1 -5 iiWet of even width, being Z5 feet on either side of the following d d centediae.,
Beginning at the intersection of Walnut Street -with the public alley in the center of the block between
Ounklin and A shley Streets, thence eKten ding so uth to a poin t on the north right of way line of Ashley
Street that i's 48.0 feet west of the southwest comer of Inlot 885.
The release of that part of said easement described above shall include the release of the provisions written
therein, being that described in the last paragraph of said easement.
