Time and Place of Opening Bids. Proposals for the 127th Street Reservoir Exterior Coating for the Village of Plainfield, Will County, Illinois, will be received through QuestCDN.com by Virtu(vBid) online bid service until 10:00 A.M. CST, July 21, 2021 and at that time a virtual bid opening will be held. The Owner will only accept electronic bids through QuestCDN and bids will not be accepted after the bid date and opening time. 2. Description of Work. The proposed construction consists of repainting the exterior concrete dome and shotcrete wall surfaces of the 5,000,000-gallon 127th Street reservoir including surface preparation, collection and disposal of surface preparation debris, painting, and other miscellaneous items of work. 3. Information for Bidders. All pertinent documents may be examined on the internet at www.questcdn.com. Prospective Bidders must purchase contract documents through Quest Construction Data Network (QuestCDN). Visit the QuestCDN website (www.questcdn.com) for access. Use the seven-digit QuestCDN project number 7912956 to locate the job on the QuestCDN website search page. There is a non-refundable fee for downloading the contract documents in a pdf format. Bids will not be accepted from any prospective bidder who had not purchased contract documents through QuestCDN. No hard copy/paper Bidding Documents will be provided. Electronic documents can be purchased only through QuestCDN. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor or determined by the court on review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract. The Village of Plainfield is exempt from the Illinois State, municipal or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check or bank draft payable to the Village of Plainfield for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder Instructions. 4. Rejection of Bids. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities.
