I, Phyllis Powell, City Clerk of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, do hereby certify that on eg5th
day of February, 1994, said Department of Planning &Code Enforcement did certify to said City Clerk
that the above costs were accrued by the City of Jefferson for the maintenance of the property located at
800 Lafayette Street, and that said costs were for the purpose of bringing the condition of the
property into compliance with the Code of the City of Jefferson.
I further certify that this tax is a lien against the lot or piece of ground therein described, and
bears interest at a rate not exceeding the rate on ten-year United States treasury notes established at the
auction immediately preceding the date of certification of this bill from 60 days after the issue thereof,
until paid.-

Attached please find check #4102 in the amount of $100.00 from "Jordan
Brothers" in payment of the above-referenced tax bill. By action of the City
Council at its November 21, 1994, Council meeting, the tax bill amount was
reduced from $255.00 to $100.00; therefore, I am releasing the tax bill as paid
in full pursuant to Council's approval.

Subject: Adjustment to Special Tax Bill No. 14699
Special Tax Bill No. 14699 was issued in March of this year against
property located at 800 Lafayette Street belonging to Ronald Lee Jordan,
Carol Joan Jordan and others. The amount of the tax bill was $255.00 as
requested by Planning and Code Enforcement for the abatement of a
nuisance (dead tree limbs, volunteer growth &brush). Keith DeVault has
requested that the amount of the tax bill be reduced to $100.00 and the
Jordans have tendered a check in that amount. The Council may approve
the reduction by motion (as included on the consent agenda). Any
additional information on this matter would be available from Keith
DeVault or Charlie Lansford.

Charles Lansford has informed me that an incorrect tax lien of$255.00 was
placed on the property located at 800 Lafayette St.
Mr. Jordan, who owns the property, has made the proper payment of$100.00
to the City.
Please take the appropriate action to have this special tax lien removed from
the records.
