HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 67-724RESOLUTION NO. 67 -724 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY REQUESTING AN ALLOCATION OF $20,000 FROM AID -TO- CITIES FUND FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF BROADWAY, EATON WASH TO ROSEMEAD BLVD.; SAID RECONSTRUCTION TO INCLUDE CURB, GUTTER, BASE, PAVING, DRAINAGE STRUCTURES AND TRAFFIC SIGNALS. WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has appropriated certain monies to the City of Temple City from the County Aid -to- Cities Fund, and WHEREAS, the City of Temple City now desires to expend cer- tain of these monies for authorized purposes, and WHEREAS, proposed improvements are of general County interest and are on Select System Streets which are a part of the City's system of Select System Streets, and WHEREAS, said Select System Streets connect directly to designated streets on the County Master Plan of Highways, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: SECTION 1. That the County of Los Angeles is hereby re- quested to allocate the sum of $20,000 from Aid -to- Cities Fund to the City of Temple City for the purpose of reconstruction on Broadway, Eaton Wash to Rosemead Blvd.; said reconstruction to include curb, gutter, base, paving, drainage structures and traf- fic signals. SECTION 2. That the City Council requests that all funds be retained by the Road Department from which the final payment for the City's share of the aforementioned reconstruction may be taken as per agreement executed by the City on September 23, 1965.
