A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF TIF FUNDS FOR FINANCING THE
CURRENT AND FUTURE CITY PARK IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS: the City Council notes that the City Park Improvements Project will
create an economic benefit to the City; for current improvements and for future ongoing
improvements y
AND WHEREAS: the area of the park area now known as City Park lies within the
existing TIF district in the City; located south of Hwy 6 from 1380 west across Jasper
Ave to the western boundary of Public Property owned by the City of Tiffin and which'
includes Public Property owned and / or'will owned by the City of Tiffin south of the
railroad.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council desires to use TIF funds -for payment of the
current, and -future City Park Improvements for Public Use.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by theCity of Tiffin, Iowa, that the City
Council hereby authorizes the use of TIF funds by the City for payment of the current
and future improvements for Public Use.
On this 11th day of August 2010, at a regular meeting of Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Council person Mike Gericke introduced 2010-38 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
THE USE OF TIF FUNDS FOR FINANCING THE CURRENT AND FUTURE CITY
PARK IMPROVEMENTS and made a motion for approval. The motion was seconded
by Council person Chris Ball.
AYES: Chris Ball. Jim Bartels. Mike Bericke. Mark Petersen. Travis Weigert
NAYS: None
ABSENT: None
WHEREUPON, Five votes approved, Mayor Phillips declared that Resolution 2010-38
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF TIF FUNDS FOR FINANCING THE
CURRENT AND FUTURE CITY PARK IMPROVEMENTS be adopted and signified his
approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
PASSED, AND -APPROVED THIS 11TH DAY OF August 2010.
