A RESOLUTION: GRANTING APPROVAL OF THE ENCROACHMENT INTO THE PUBLIC RIGHT-
OF-WAY BY A HANDICAP RAMP TO BE LOCATED AT 17 ROYAL STREET,
S.W.
WHEREAS, the construction of a handicap ramp is required to meet the building code for the
renovation of the structure at 17 Royal Street, S.W.; and
WHEREAS, the addition of the ramp win not detract from the architectural significance of this
historic building;, and
WHEREAS, the design and construction details will be reviewed by the Board of Architectural
Review; and
WHEREAS, the proposal as been reviewed by the Director of Engineering and Public Works who
found the new construction to be acceptable;
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in %r~rginia, as follows:
Section 1. The manager is authorized to issue a revokable permit for a 3-foot encroachment into
the public right-of-way of at 17 Royal Street, S.W. for a handicap ramp as shown on a plan prepared by
Peter Burnett in h/s application to the Board of Architectural Review.
Section 2. Council reserves the right to revoke this permit at its discretion at any time.
