HomeMy Public PortalAboutTOL PR 2011-06-08 The Exchange ribbon cutting Town of Leesburg News Release For Immediate Release The Exchange Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Scheduled for Saturday, June 11, 2011 in Downtown Leesburg Leesburg, VA (June 8, 2011) – At 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 11, 2011, Town of Leesburg officials will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of The Exchange located at 111 East Market Street in Historic Downtown Leesburg. Mayor Kristen C. Umstattd will officiate. The Exchange is a consignment shop featuring “low mileage” merchandise for you and your home. Offering an ever-changing selection of furniture, home décor, garden art, rockers, patio sets, artwork, jewelry, designer handbags and more, customers are sure to find something that catches the eye in this cozy two-level shop. Local delivery is available and there is plenty of parking in the rear of the building. “We believe that quality furniture and home décor do not have an expiration date,” said Co- Owner Emily Kemp. “Weather permitting, we will place items in our front yard so that customers can experience what our shop has to offer as they walk or drive by. Our prices are fair and items move quickly, so it is important to stop in when an item catches your eye!” Customers who come to the grand opening celebration will be treated to hamburgers and hot dogs and greeted by former NFL star Brian Mitchell. There will be special sales offered and a number of door prizes including the 2011 American Girl doll of the year “Kanani.” “We are excited to welcome The Exchange to Leesburg,” said Economic Development Manager Marantha Edwards. “It’s recycling at its best!
