BOARD OF DIRECTORS
JUNE 11 , 1988
I . CALL TO ORDER
The Special Meeting of the Board of Directors of the
Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District was called to
order by Vice-President Gerry Andeen at 8 : 50 A.M. on
Saturday, June 11 , 1988 in the lower parking lot of Rancho
San Antonio County Park. G. Andeen explained that the
purpose of the meeting was a field trip with Santa Clara
County Parks and Recreation Commissioners , County Parks
staff , and members of the public to various District lands
in Santa Clara County and that no action would be taken.
Members Present: Gerry Andeen, Richard Bishop, Robert
McKibbin, and Edward Shelley.
Members Absent: Katherine Duffy, Nonette Hanko, and Teena
Henshaw.
Personnel Present: Herbert Grench, David Hansen, Mary Hale,
John Escobar, David Sanguinetti, Matthew Ken, Doris Smith,
and Joan Combs .
II. TOUR OF DISTRICT LANDS
The bus tour 's first stop was Deer Hollow Farm at Rancho San
Antonio Open Space Preserve. The tour then departed for
Monte Bello and Los Trancos Open Space Preserves on Page
Mill Road. Participants walked to the vista point at Monte
Bello Open Space Preserve and on a portion of Los Trancos
Open Space Preserve ' s Earthquake Trail . The tour headed
south on Skyline Boulevard to Route 9; other District sites
were pointed out and information about the District was
provided along the route. A luncheon was served at the
Picchetti Ranch Area of the Monte Bello Open Space Preserve,
after which Rolayne Stortz led a tour of the historic winery
complex.
III . ADJOURNMENT
The buses returned from the Picchetti Ranch Area to the
parking lot at Rancho San Antonio County Park at 2:30 P.M.
and the meeting was adjourned.
