A RESOLUTION:
INITIATING AND REFEILRING AMENDMENTS TO THE SUBDMSION AND
LAND DEVELOPMENT REGUI~TIONS TO THE LEESBURG PLANNING
COMMISSION FOR PUBLIC HEARING AND RECOM]M]~NDATION
WI-IE~, the Leesburg Design and Construction Standards Manual is scheduled for adoption in
May, 1990; and
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Design and Construction Standards Manual is incorporated into and made
a part of the Subdivision and Land Dewlopment Regulations as authorized under Section 15.1.466 of the
1950 Code of Virginia, as amended; and
WHEREAS, duplication or inconsistencies will exist between the Leesburg Design and Construction
Standards Manual and the current Subdivision and Land Development Regulations; mhd
WHEREAS, the proposed amendments in c,_,njunction with the Design and Construction Standards
Manual will insure a plan review process tlmt is consistent with the Code of Virginia, as amended; and
WHEREAS, development plan requirements are pr,posed to be strengthened to correspond with
subdivision plat requirements:
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
SECTION I. The proposed revisions to the Subdivision and Land Development Regulations, dated
April 4, 1990, are hereby initiated and referred to the Planning Commission for recommendation pursuant
to Section 15.1.472 of the 1950 (~gte of Virginia, as amended.
SECTION II. The Planning Commi~ion shaft conduct a public hearing on the proposed regulations
and report its recommendation to the Council within 30 days of this referral
