REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 3, 2006 The Lynwood Information, Inc. of the City of Lynwood met in a Regular Meeting in the Council Chambers, 11330 Bullis Road on the above date at 5:13 p.m. Chairman Vasquez presiding. i Directors Byrd, Johnson, Pedroza, Santillan, and Vasquez answered the roll call. rl Also present were City Manager Martinez, City Attorney Beltran, Secretary Hooper, and Treasurer Pygatt. Secretary Hooper announced that the Agenda had been posted in accordance with the Brown Act. Item #4 PROCLAMATIONS/PRESENTATIONS ^ Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Southern California Gas Company - by Dennis Lord PUBLIC ORAL COMMUNICATIONS (Regarding Agenda Items Only) NONE PUBLIC ORAL COMMUNICATIONS NONE CONSENT CALENDAR (-'' It was moved by Director Byrd, seconded by Director Pedroza, to adopt the Resolution. - i - Item #5 APPROVAL OF THE WARRANT REGISTER RESOLUTION NO. 2006.001 ENTITLED: A RESOLUTION OF THE LYNWOOD INFORMATION INC. OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, ALLOWING AND APPROVING THE DEMANDS AND WARRANTS THEREFORE. ROLL CALL AYES: DIRECTOR BYRD, JOHNSON, PEDROZA, SANTILLAN, AND VASQUEZ NOES: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE ABSENT: NONE DISCUSSION ITEMS -CITY COUNCIL REQUESTS Item #6 SPANISH TRANSLATION OF COUNCIL AGENDA It was moved by Director Byrd, seconded, by Vice Chairman Johnson, to approve in concept the Spanish translation of all Agency agendas and receive & file the report. ROLL CALL AYES: DIRECTOR BYRD, JOHNSON, PEDROZA, SANTILLAN, AND VASQUEZ NOES: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE ABSENT: NONE Item #7 BLACK HISTORY PROGRAM -FEBRUARY 2006 (AS REQUESTED BY MAYOR PRO TEM JOHNSON) It was moved by Director Santillan, seconded by Director Byrd, to approve the Black History Month Program -February 2006. Vice Chairman Johnson to work with Parks & Recreation Department regarding Unity Concert. ROLL CALL: AYES: DIRECTOR BYRD, JOHNSON, PEDROZA, SANTILLAN, AND VASOUEZ NOES: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE ABSENT: NONE Item #8 KINGDOM DAY PARADE -COUNCIL PARTICIPATION It was moved by Director Byrd, seconded by Director Santillan, to approve the City's participation in the Kingdom Oay Parade and authorize staff to take the necessary steps to facilitate the City's participation. Staff to negotiate prices of auto's.
