RESOLUTION FOR AMENDMENT OF CHAPTER 15 TERM OF OFFICE
MAYOR ELECTED FOR TERM OF FOUR YEARS
WHEREAS, there has been on file in the office of, the City Clerk for Public Inspection an
Official Copy of the proposed "Code of Ordinances of the City of Tiffin, Iowa"; and
WHEREAS; the proposed "Code of Ordinances of the City of Tiffin, Iowa," has.been carefully

eviewed by the Mayor and City Council, and;
WHEREAS, all comments of those persons who examined and made suggestions in writing
or at the Public Hearing held thereon; relative to the proposed "Code of Ordinances of the
City of Tiffin, Iowa , have been carefully considered; and
WHEREAS, the council has determined that the proposed "Code of Ordinances of the City of
Tiffin, Iowa as filed, should be modified prior to its final adoption by ordinance,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the proposed "Code of Ordinances of the City of
Tiffin, Iowa, be approved with the following additions, deletions or corrections:
Chapter 15.
15.01 TERM OF OFFICE. The Mayor is elected for a term of four years
to begin effective January 1, 2012.
On the 11th day of August, 2010, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa
Councilperson Jim Bartels introduced A RESOLUTION 2010-37 and made a motion for approval.
The motion was seconded by Councilperson Mike Gericke.
Ayes: Chris Ball, Jim Bartels, Mike Gericke, Mark Petersen, Travis Weipert
Nay -.None
Absent: None
WHEREUPON, Five Council members were pesent and voted for approval, Mayor Phillips declared
that Resolution 2010 -37 -RESOLUTION FOR AMENDMENT OF CHAPTER 15 TERM OF
OFFICE MAYOR ELECTED FOR TERM OF FOUR YEARS be adopted and signified his
approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
