RESOLUTION NO. 90-134
ADOPTED June 13~ 1990
A RESOLUTION: ADOPTING A STORMWATER MANAGEMENT MASTER PLAN FOR THE
TOWN OF LEESBURG
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg engaged Camp Dresser & McKee, consulting engineers, for
evaluation of the adequacy of the existing stormwater system, development of a computerized store
system model, and preparation of a stormwater msrmgement plan with recommendations for capital
improvements which address existing and future flooding problems; and
WHEREAS, Camp Dresser & McKee has developed three alternative plans for meeting the future
stormwater marmgement needs of the Town; and
WHEREAS, Alternative No. 2B is recognized as the most efficient, economical and practical plan
and will provide 100-year flood protection along Town Branch and 100-year flood protection along
Tuscarora Creek; and
WHEREAS, this alternative has been reviewed and is recommended by the town's Department
of Engineering and Public Works and the consulting engineer; and
WHEREAS, this plan is consistent with the current policy for stormwater mmmgement included
in the current Leesburg Town Plan.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The August 1987 Stormwater Management Master Plan as prepared and amended
by Camp Dresser & McKee is adopted, subject to minor technical corrections authorized by the
Director of Engineering and Public Works.
