REGULAR MEETING
FEBRUARY 6, 2007
The Lynwood Information, Inc. of the City of Lynwood met in a regular meeting in the
Council Chambers, 11330 Bullis Road on the above date at 5:23 p.m.
Chairman Byrd presiding.
~F Directors Johnson, Pedroza, Santillan, Vasquez, and Byrd were present. Director
- Vasquez arrived at 5:45 p.m.
Also present were Interim City Manager Arnoldussen, City Attorney Beltran, Secretary
Hooper, and City Treasurer Pygatt.
Secretary Hooper announced that the Agenda had. been posted in accordance with the
Brown Act.

Irene Garcia commented on item #8 -PRESENTATION ON ANIMAL CONTROL
REGULATION AND MANDATORY SPAY/NEUTERING AND MICROCHIPPING FOR
ALL DOGS. She said that there is not enough enforcement of the ordinances.
CONSENT CALENDAR
- ~ All matters listed under the Consent Calendar will be acted upon by one motion
affirming the action recommended on the agenda. There will be no separate discussion
on these items prior to voting unless members of the Agency or staff request specific
items be removed from the Consent Calendar for separate action.
It was moved by Vice Chairman Pedroza, seconded by Chairman Byrd, to approve the
minutes, receive & file staff reports, and adopt the Resolutions.

Receive and file the attached quarterly Investment Report for the quarter ending June

Item #8 PRESENTATION ON ANIMAL CONTROL REGULATION AND
MANDATORY SPAY/NEUTERING AND MICROCHIPPING FOR ALL
DOGS
Lorry Hempe & Marcia Mayeda introduced this item regarding animal control
regulations.
After discussion, it was moved by Director Santillan, seconded by Mayor Byrd, to
receive and file the presentation from representatives of the Los Angeles County Animal
Care and Control.

Item #9 REPORT-UNITED STATES CONFERENCE OF MAYORS
Chairman Byrd reported on the United States conference of Mayors. The conference
was held in Washington D.C.
Director Leticia Vasquez reported on the United States conference of Mayors. She
commented on the legislative agenda.
Vice Chairman Pedroza reported on the ICA winter seminar. Attendees of conference
looked for solutions to ending school violence.
Director Johnson reported that Donald Chae received the minority contractor of the year
award.
Chairman Byrd announced that Director Johnson received a PhD. Degree in theology.
Director Johnson announced that Chairman Byrd was honored by Men who Care
International for lifetime achieve award for 50 years of public service.
ADJOURNMENT
Having no further discussion, it was moved by Director Santillan, seconded by Vice
Chairman Pedroza, and carried to adjourn the regular Lynwood Information Inc. meetirig
at 6:35 p.m., in memory of Larry Copfer.
