Special Session
April 25, 1989
• The Greencastle Board of Works met in special session on Tuesday, April 25, 1989 at
4:00 p.m. at City Hall. On call of the roll the following menders were shown to be
present: Mayor Harmless, Mrs. Crawley, Mr. Lawrence. Mr. Wilson was also present.
The Clerk- Treasurer requested minutes be tabled to the next regular session. Mrs.
Crawley then moved to table the minutes of the previous meetings to the next regular
session. 'Ibis motion was seconded by Mr. Lawrence, and was carried by an aye unanimous
vote.
Presented to the Board was a contract with Maddox Industrial. Contractors of
Indianapolis for the Fifth Street Lift Station Renovation project in the amount of
$22,900.00. Mr. Wilson noted that he had reveiwed the contract and that Maddox had
presented the low proposal. The work is to begin within ten (10) days of the date of the
agreement, with completion expected within forty -five (45) days.
Mr. laawrence then moved to approve the agreement and sign the contract with Maddox
Industrial Contractors in the amount of $22,900.00. This motion was seconded by Mrs.
Crawley, and was carried by an aye unanimous vote.
In reference to the personnel. issue in the sewage department, discussion ensued
concerning personnel policies and performance evaluations. No action was taken.
With no further business, Mr. Lawrence moved for adjournment. This motion was
seconded by Mrs. Crawley, and was carried by an aye unanimous vote. The meeting was
adjourned at 4:15 p.m.
