AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT FORUNIFORMRENTALSERVICES
WHEREAS, a Request for Sealed Bids was issued by the Department of Engineering and Public
Works to provide uniform service for the Town's Public Works and Utility Department's personnel; and
WHEREAS, our current uniform rental contract will expire December 31, 1990; and
WHEREAS, Valley Textile Services was the sole bidder with a base bid price of $7.40 per employee;
and
and
WHEREAS, Valley Textile Services has been determined to be a responsible and responsive bidder;
WHEREAS, the bid price was slightly below our current suppliers price resulting in a sm,Il savings
for FY91.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The acting manager is authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the town with Valley Textile
Services for uniform rental services at a base price of $7.40 per employee for a tern of three years.
