A RESOLUTION:
MAKING AMENDMENTS FOR AQUATIC AND RECREATION CLASS
BUDGETS AND AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE AQUATIC CLASS
BUDGET
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department
offers aquatic, recreation, sports, special events, and special
services/projects programs funded from collected user fees; and
WHEREAS, program instructors have to date been paid on a
contractual basis; and
WHEREAS, Internal Revenue Service regulations require that
these instructors are to be paid as regular town employees; and
WHEREAS, aquatic class revenues and expenditures have exceeded
estimates requiring additional revenue and expenditure
appropriations:
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in
Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. Aquatic class reimbursable budget is amended to
include Part-time Salaries, FICA and Worker's Compensation line
items and appropriations of $40,000 to the aquatic class budget and
revenue account are hereby authorized to the general fund budget
for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1991.
