RATIFYING A RESOLUTION OF THE CARTERET LIBRARY BOARD
CANCELING CERTAIN UNEXPENDED MUNICIPAL APPROPRIATIONS
WHEREAS, on April 14, 2004 Carteret Library Board unanimously adopted the
following resolution.
1. Unexpended prior year municipal appropriations to the Carteret Public
Library in excess of the Borough's statutorily Required are cancelled and
returned to the Borough as follows:
2003-$27,389.60
2002- $25,859.02
2. The Board of Trustees has appropriated $49,700.00 as a component of the
2004 budget for debt services payment.
WHEREAS, the governing body whishes to support and ratify the action taken by the
Carteret School Board which will result in a savings to Carteret residents and tax payers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, that the above referenced resolution of the Carteret Library Board is hereby
endorsed and ratified and the Borough hereby accepts the return of the canceled
appropriations provided for therein.

certified as a tree copy of the
original on May 21, 2004.
