COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, MARCH 21, 2016
CALL TO ORDER
The March 21, 2016, City Council “Pre-Meeting” was convened at 5:47 P.M. by
Mayor Carrie Tergin.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Branch, Costales, Graham, Henry, Hussey, Mihalevich,
Prather, Schreiber, Scrivner, and Ward
Absent: None
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Discussion was held regarding City Code pertaining to procedure for speakers to
sign up if they wish to make presentations at Council meetings (other than at
“public hearings,”). Mayor Tergin said she would discuss with staff the best
method to comply with that requirement for future meetings, but since it had not
been required for tonight’s meeting, she would ask that Council allow speakers at
tonight’s meeting without that requirement in order to be consistent with previous
meetings.
Bill 2015-127 (Amending Sewer Code): Councilman Scrivner stated that there
is more work that needs to be accomplished on this bill and he planned to
withdraw it tonight.
Bill 2015-116 (Amending Code re: underground utilities): Councilman
Scrivner stated he planned to place this on the informal calendar for one meeting
to allow affected utilities more time to discuss.
