AUTHORIZING THE INSTAI,I,ATION OF A PEDESTEIAN SIDEWALK ON
TOWN PROPERTY CONNECTING WIRT STREET WITH THE SOUTH TOWN
GREEN TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO THE DOWNTOWN PARKING FACILITY
WHE~, the Town Council has determined there to be a need for a pedestrian sidewalk
connecting Wirt Street with the South Town Green to provide access to the downtown parking facility;
and
WHEREAS, the town-owned property is available for the installation of said sidewalk; and
WHE~, town staff has determined that the total cost to construct the sidewalk will be
$3,500.00.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the town
manager is authorized to proceed with the inst~llstion of a four foot wide walk on town property adjacent
to the Loudoun Museum and hereby appropriate $3,500.00 from the unappropriated fund l~2lsnce of the
general fund and transfer said amount to contractual services account number 4301.300.010.200.
