Ribbon cutting ceremony planned for Saturday, August 13, 2011
Leesburg, VA (August 3, 2011) –
At 2:00 pm, on Saturday, August
13, 2011, Town of Leesburg
officials will hold a ribbon cutting
ceremony for the grand opening
of SGO Designer Glass’ new studio
at 706 South King Street, Suite 8.

SGO Designer Glass is an
architectural decorative glass
company specializing in custom
stained glass overlay, carved,
printed and other decorative glass products with a wide variety of residential and commercial
applications. Stained glass overlay is a popular and affordable alternative to traditional stained
glass. Some of SGO’s recent local clients include Palio Ristorante Italiano in downtown
Leesburg and Finnegan’s Sports Bar & Grill in the Village at Leesburg.
Owner Suzanne Stipek has held the Loudoun and West Fairfax franchise of SGO Designer Glass
since 2007 and is moving the studio to Leesburg from Sterling in order to expand the
showroom. Ms. Stipek holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Florida State University and
found that the SGO Designer Glass franchise gave her the opportunity to blend her
artist/designer credentials with her project management expertise. She prides herself on
personal attention to all of her clients and projects, and has especially enjoyed working with
local artists on custom designs.
“I have partnered with several local artists to supply unique glass designs such as a recently
finished custom designed door and panel using an etched glass and custom fused medallions.
That project was so fun and we invited the client into the studio to locate the final positions of
the fused pieces,” said Stipek. “I also really enjoyed taking the woodcut design ‘The Great

to welcome them to the Leesburg business community,” commented Marantha Edwards,
Leesburg’s Economic Development Manager.
