Marr Harker called the Special Meeting of the City Council
to order at :30 P. M. Roll Call showed all members of the Council
present, except Councilman Tyrell, Also present City Attorney.Martin
and City Manager'.:Ioollett.
The City Manager stated notice of this special meeting was
given to all Councilmen and received 24 hours in advance of this meet-
ing.
The City Manager presented a petition requesting the Council
to give consent to commencement of annexation proceedin:s. The City
Attorney advised the proposal was received from the proponents and
residents of the area, and the first action is to refer to the Planning
Commission for their approval. Councilman Dickason so moved, Council-
man Merritt seconded, roll call vote to carry as follows:
:.YES: Councilmen - Dickason, Merritt, Munemaker, Harker
NOES: Councilmen -'one
ABSENT: Councilman - Tyrell.
Mayor Harker called for a ten minute adjournment. Council
adjourned at .4 40 for a recess.
8:55 P. M.
Mayor Harker called the Council bac!< to order at 0:55 P. M.
II Councilman Tyrell arrived during the recess and was also now present.
City Manacer loollett presented the Planning Commission Reso-
lution No. 65 -154PC A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMEND f G TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF SAID
CITY THAT CERT7-:1 i''! UNINCORPORATED TER!? IT:,RY ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO
SAID CITY BE ANNEXED AND FURTHER RECOMiME lD I NG THE ARE : ". T+:) BE INCLUDED
THEREIN (ANNEX T 1 +M NO. 8). He advised the Planning Commission had
adopted this Resolution.
The City Attorney explained this combines Annexation 8 with
proposed annexation 9, both to be included in Annexation No. u and to
both be considered in combination. He read title to :resolution No.

Councilman Tyrell moved to adopt Resolution No. 65 -4.7L, Councilman
Nunamaker seconded, roll call vote to carry as follows:
.YES: Councilmen - Dickason, Merritt, Nunamaker, Tyrell, Harker
NOES: Councilmen -None
ABSENT: Councilmen - Saone.

Councilman Nunamaker moved to authorize the City Manager in
conjunction with the procedure to Nile this annexation, Councilman
Dickason seconded and carried.
Councilman Merritt moved to adjourn, Councilman Dickason se-
conded and carried. Council adjourned at 9 :00 P. M.
