HomeMy Public PortalAbout1220.1 - Orlando Venues - Venues - Organization and Policy Orlando Venues Chief Venues Officer Section 1220.l SUBJECT: ORGANIZATION AND POLICY :l OBJECTIVE: To manage, administer, operate and maintain the Amway Center, Camping World Stadium, Tinker Field, Mennello Musuem of American Arts, and Harry P. Leu Gardens and Public Art. :2 AUTHORITY: This procedure amended by Cit y Council June 11, 2018, Item A -1. :3 DIRECTION: Chief Venues Officer (CVO), or Designee, serve at the pleasure of, and receives direction from the Mayor. :4 FUNCTIONS: A. Directs, plans, and coordinates the activities of the Amway Center, Camping World Stadium, Tinker Field Harry P. Leu Gardens, Mennello Museum of American Arts and Public Art, including the construction and/or other development of parking facilities. B. Manages, operates, and maintains facilities named above. C. Represents the City in negotiating use agreements, leases, and concession agreements with users, tenants, concessionaires, and prospective users at the named facilities. D. The CVO serves as advisor to the Mayor, and City Council on all matters concerned with the use of the named facilities. :5 FORMS: None. :6 COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES: None. :7 REFERENCE: City Council Minutes of June 21, 1976, creating Public Assembly Facilities Department; July 6, 1976, appointing manager for Department; and City Council Minutes of July 19, 1976, Item 19, designating name as Sports Complex and Auditorium Department.
