I, Phyllis Powell, City Clerk of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, do hereby certify that on June 8,2011
said Department of Community Development did certify to said City Clerk that the above costs were accrued
by the City of Jefferson for the maintenance of the property located at 117 N Polk St
and that said costs were for the purpose of bringing the condition of the property into compliance with the Code
of the City of Jefferson. The work was performed on June 1, 2011
I further certify that this tax is a lien against the lot or piece of ground therein described, and bears interest
at a rate of eight percent(8%) which shall begin accruing 30 days after the date of certification, and continue at
said rate until paid. If not paid, this lien shall be turned over to the Cole County Tax Collector for inclusion in
property taxes assessed to this property.

The City of Jefferson is in receipt of payment for Special Tax Bill 161 1 1 .
Enclosed you will find the original tax bill which indicates that it is paid in full and released from the
City's tax lien records. You should keep this original with your other pertinent property papers, such
as deeds, abstracts, etc.

City for nuisance abatement on this property. This lien must be paid in full before it will be released from our records.

Tax liens which become delinquent are turned over to the Cole County Tax Collector's Office each year for inclusion
in your annual property tax assessment. After they have been turned over to the County, they can no longer be
paid to the City.

Ms. Casida,
The Finance Department informed me this afternoon that a check had been sent to the City for this
tax lien. However, it apparently was not sent to the "Attention of the City Clerk", so it was opened by
the Finance Department and they were unable to track down what the payment was for until today
(Sept. 8).
I have released the lien and would be happy to send the original release to whomever is handling the
closing, or new owners of the property if that is the case. Please advise to whom you would like me to
send the released lien to.
