RESOLUTION GRANTING CONSENT AND JURISDICTION
TO THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES IN THE MATTER OF
COUNTY LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1395
PETITION NO. 105-87
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles
is about to commence proceedings under Division 7 of the Streets and High-
ways ways Code, for the annexation of territory to County Lighting Maintenance
District No. 1395; and
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation will have street lights in-
stalled in the City of Temple City; and
WHEREAS, all of the land included in the proposed annexation
lies within the boundary of the City of Temple City,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City
of Temple City as follows:
SECTION 1. That the public interest, convenience and necessity require
the maintenance of a street lighting system located within said territory
as shown on the attached map of the annexation to County Lighting Mainten-
ance District No. 1395 as set forth in the proposed Resolution of Inten-
tion of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles for this
annexation, an attached copy of which resolution incomplete as to dates
and similar information which can only be inserted at the time of adoption.
SECTION 2. That this City Council hereby consents to the annexation of
said territory as described in said proposed Resolution of Intention,
included within the boundaries of said annexation, and lying within the
boundary of the City of Temple City.
ISECTION 3. That this City Council hereby finds and determines that the
lands included within the boundary of the proposed annexation as set
forth in said proposed Resolution of Intention, lying within the boundary
of the City of Temple City, will be benefited by the said proposed annexa-
tion to the maintenance district, and hereby consents to the inclusion
of said lands within the proposed annexation and to the assessment thereof.
SECTION 4. That the consent of this City Council is hereby given to
the commencement of the proceedings for said annexation to County Light-
ing Maintenance District No. 1395 by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Los Angeles, and to the exercise of exclusive jurisdiction of said
Board of Supervisors over all proceedings necessary thereto for the
purpose of consummating the same, all in accordance with the provisions
of Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code.
SECTION 5. That the Clerk of the City Council is hereby directed to
certify and deliver two copies of this resolution to the Clerk of the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolu-
tion by the City Council of the City of Temple City and shall cause the
same to be posted in three (3) conspicuous places in the City of Temple
City, and it shall thereupon take effect.
I I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted by
the City Council of the City of Temple City at its meeting held on
November 7th, 1967, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Briggs, Harker, Merritt, Tyrell, Beckley
NOES: Councilmen- None
ABSENT: Councilmen None
