Attendees: Roger Snodgrass, Eric McCormick, Allan Morrison, Rita Bolli,
Betty Bolin, Paul Stover. Nate Coyle was also present.
The meeting began with painters handing out exterior paint samples for
painting the Clubhouse to committee members. A question and answer
session took place between the members and painters. After much
discussion, Roger moved that we approve Winter Sky, Charcoal, and
Traditional Stone Hedge as the colors. The motion passed. The painters
hope to start in October, and the project should take four days.
Rita moved that we accept the minutes from the Aug. meeting. The
motion passed.
Eric’s Report: Randy Acker will be hired this month to take down trees
that are close to outside course boundaries. Eric will rent a chipper for
cleanup. Some fairways will be aerated and reseeded this month. The
work on Aspen #1 green which was scheduled to begin the first week in
Oct. will be delayed somewhat because the hired contractor is behind
schedule. Work on Aspen #5 will take place at the same time.
Temporary greens will be used for these two holes.
Allan’ Report: August was another great revenue month. Total revenue
for the year is about $89,000 ahead of last year. The Two‐lady Best Ball
was very successful and the largest ever. Allan is looking into earlier tee
times for next year’s Club Championship. Chapman entries were up
30%. The Men’s 2‐Man Scramble had 312 participants. Allan reported
getting rave reviews about the condition of the course from participants
in all the month’s events.
The Five Year Plan was briefly discussed. Rita asked if the course had
adequate parking space. Allan said the only time parking was an issue
was during large tournaments. There was also discussion about a
practice bunker. If one is put in, where could it go? Eric asked members
to e‐mail him ideas.
October’s meeting will focus on tournaments. The next meeting is
scheduled for Oct. 14 at 4:00.
