AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1988 -12
• BEING THE 1989 SALARY ORDINANCE FOR THE
CITY OF GREENCASTLE
BE IT ORDAINED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle, Indiana, that Ordinance No. 1988 -12, being "An Ordinance
Establishing The Size Of Departments of City Government For The City Of
Greencastle, Indiana, Affixing Salaries For The Employees Of Such Departments
For The Year Of 1989 And Affixing Salaries Of Certain Other Elected And
Appointed Officials For The Year 1989" is hereby amended as follows:
1. Section Four is amended to read ns follows:
SECTION FOUR That the Park Department shall consist of one (l)
full. -time member, three (3) seasonal members, one (1) part -time member, and in
addition, pool lifeguards in the maximum allowable number. The maximum base
pay shall be as follows:
Park Grounds Superintendent $10,977.59
Recreation Coordinator 3,000.00
Pool Manager 3,000.00
Pool Assistant Manager 2,000.00
Pool Lifeguards* 12,000.00 (maximum allowable wages)
Part -time (1 at $3.50 per hr.) 2,912.00 (maximum 832 hours)
* Pool lifeguards with Water Safety instruction Certificate shall receive
$3.65 per hour; Pool lifeguards with Advanced Life Saving Certificate shall
receive $3.50 per hour.
Evening Pool Parties.
Pool party supervisor shall receive $15.00 per party. Pool lifeguards
• shall. receive $5.00 per hour. Salaries are to be paid from fees charged pool
party sponsor.
2. Section Eight is amended to read as follows:
SECTION EIGHT That the salaries of certain other appointed officials of
the City of Greencastle shall be as follows:
Deputy Clerk- Treasurer $ 8,179.00
Secretary 12,480.00
Building Commissioner 8,400.00
Board of Public Works
(Citizen members) 600.00
