AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE VOLUNTARY
ANNEXATION OF CONTIGUOUS TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE, INDIANA
WHEREAS, the boundary of the City of Greencastle is
contiguous to the real estate described herein; and
WHEREAS, on October 12, 1988, a Petition for Annexation
of the real estate described herein was filed by the owners of
said real estate, requesting annexation of the area pursuant
to I.C. 36- 4 -3 -5;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE COMMON
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE, PUTNAM COUNTY, INDIANA,
THAT:
SECTION I. The following described real estate, and
the same is, hereby annexed to and declared a part of the City
of Greencastle, Putnam County, Indiana, to -wit:
The following described real estate located in
Putnam County, State of Indiana, and being a
part of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast
quarter of Section 15, Township 14 North, Range
4 West of the Second Principal Meridian, more

particularly described, to -wit:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of the
Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of
Section 15, Township 14 North, Range 4 West;
thence North 00 degrees 02 minutes West 341.8
feet with the East line of said Southeast
quarter quarter to the true point of beginning
of the real estate herein described; thence
South 85 degrees 39 minutes West 233.05 feet;
thence South 00 degrees 02 minutes East 2.0
feet; thence South 88 degrees 45 minutes West
90.02 feet: thence South 00 degrees 15 minutes
East 59.32 feet; thence South 89 degrees 19
minutes West 569.62 feet; thence North 00
degrees 09 minutes East 855.81 feet; thence
North 89 degrees 19 minutes East 889.33 feet to
the East line of said Southeast quarter
quarter; thence South 00 degrees 02 minutes
East 778.65 feet with said East line to the
point of beginning, containing 17.0 acres, more
or less.
SECTION II. Be it further ordained that the boundaries
of the City of Greencastle shall be and the same hereby are,
declared extended to include all of the real estate herein
above described as part of the City of Greencastle, Putnam

County, Indiana.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, promolugation, approval by
the Mayor and publication in accordance with the law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle, Putnam County, Indiana, upon this 13th day of
June, 1989. /

SYNOPSIS
This ordinance annexes approximately 17 acres of land on
Round Barn Road pursuant to a petition requesting annexation
filed by the owners, Gerald K. Pedigo Corp. and Hazel Day
Longden, on October 12, 1989, in accordance with I.C. 36 -4 -3-
