AWARD CONTRACT TO MARKET RECYCLABLES
WHEREAS, there exists a need to market recyclable materials collected in the
Borough; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-5(1)(s) these services are exempt from
the requirements of competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, the local Finance Officer has certified that funds are available;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret does hereby approve the contract attached hereto with Advanced
Recycling Transfer Systems, Inc. and directs the Mayor to execute said contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the contract is awarded without competitive
bids in accordance with NJ.S.A. 40A:ll-5(1)(a) due to the specialized and
professional nature of the services provided..
Adopted this 2nd day of March, 1995
and certified as a true copy of the
original on March 3, 1995.
