AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH EQUIFAX CREDIT SERVICES FOR THE
COIJJRCTION OF DELINQUENT PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX AND WATER
AND SEWER ACCOUNTS
WHEREAS, Section 58.1-3919.1 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, authorizes the use of
private collection agencies for the collection of delinquent personal property taxes with the approval of the
governing body; and
WHEREAS, the town's Finance Director is interested in using Equifax Credit Services to assist
the town with the collection of delinquent personal property tax and water and sewer accounts:
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the town's
Finance Director is authorized to enter into an agreement with Equifax Credit Services for the collection
of delinquent personal property tax and water and sewer accounts.
