AUTHORIZING A SETTLEMENT OF THE HOWARD SAVINGS BANK et al
versus COUNTY OF LOUDOUN, et al at LAW NO. 12009 AND MAKING AN
APPROPRIATION
RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The Deputy Town Attorney is authorized to settle the above styled lawsuit and that
the assessments be adjusted as set forth below and taxes refunded in accordance with the applicable tax
rate of the Town of Leesburg for such year and the adjusted assessment.
1987 - $4,350,000.00
1988 - $4,761,500.00
1989 - $4,761,500.00
1990 - $3,672,000.00
SECTION II. Appropriate funds will be allocated from the unappropriated fund balance to fund
the settlement.
