A RESOLUTION : ADOPTION OF A MEMORANUM OF AGREEMENT
BETWEEN VISIT LOUDOUN AND THE TOWN OF
LEESBURG FOR FISCAL YEAR 2021 AND
AUTHORIZATION FOR THE TOWN MANAGER TO
DISBURSE THE ANNUAL CONTRIBUTION OF $95,000
WHEREAS, Visit Loudoun, is the primary programmatic element of the Town's
travel, recreation, and tourism promotion with a mission to attract travelers, to increase
occupancy at lodging properties, and to generate tourism industry revenues; and
WHEREAS, the Town makes an annual financial contribution to Visit Loudoun to
support tourism and hospitality businesses in Leesburg; and
WHEREAS, the Town has an existing written agreement with Visit Loudoun that
expired on June 30, 2020, and both parties desire to continue the partnership under the terms
set forth in the Memorandum of Agreement.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia hereby
adopts a Memorandum of Agreement between the Town of Leesburg and Visit Loudoun for
the Fiscal Year 2021 ending June 30, 2021 that includes a contribution of$95,000 per the
Town's approved budget for Fiscal Year 2021.
