A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE LAND ACQUISITION FOR AAPARCEL OF LAND
FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONTINUATION OF THE TRAIL SYSTEM KNOWN
AS PHASE FOUR
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin (City) desires to purchase one parcel of real estate in
Johnson County, located within the legal boundaries of the City of Tiffin from Dolores
Madden (Landowner) as described on Attached Exhibit "A
WHEREAS, City desires parcel of real estate for the purpose of'use as a public trail
known as Trails Phase Four as shown as Exhibit "B" to connect to Johnson County Trail
Systems , with immediate connection to the portion connecting with the City of Coralville, to
the most eastern boundary of City .
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City has offered a sum of $4,000 for the 1.46
more or less parcel of real estate to the Landowner.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT THE City Council of Tiffin, Iowa authorizes the
Mayor and the City Clerk to execute and conduct all legal matters to facilitate the acquisition
of parcel of real estate for the purpose to build a public trail on parcel.
Council person Mike Gericke introduced Resolution 2010-21 for approval and seconded by
Council Person Chris Ball.
Ayes: Chris Ball, Jim Bartels, Mike Gericke, Mark Petersen, and Travis Weipert
Nays: None
Absent: None
.Five Council members voted and approved Resolution 2010-21, Mayor Phillips affirms by his
signature the approval of Resolution 2010-21 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE LAND
ACQUISITION FOR A PARCEL OF LAND FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE TRAIL SYSTEM
KNOWN AS PHASE FOUR.
