Kolb 6515 Kolb Lane Jefferson City MO 65101 RE: Special Tax Bill 15582- Check#1769 Dear Mr. Kolb, I am writing regarding the above referenced tax bill which was paid for on June 13,2006,with check #1769.The city has received notification from Central Bank that the check was written incorrectly. The amount paid in the numeric field was listed as "160.00." However, the amount as written out alphabetically states "One Hundred 00/100" dollars. Central Bank informed us,that the alphabetic amount is they one they must use for the payment.Therefore,the bank only allowed the City to be paid$100.00 instead of$160.00. I am enclosed a copy of the bank's documentation showing a copy of your processed check,as well as a copy of the original tax bill showing the amount due of$160.00. Could you please issue another check for the balance due.I have enclosed a self-addressed,postage- paid envelope for your convenience.If you have any questions,please call me at 634-6311.
