Regular meeting

Public charge: The Hillsborough Historic District Commission pledges to the
community of Hillsborough its respect. The commission asks members of the
public to conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous manner with the
commission members and with fellow community members. At any time should
any member of the commission or community fail to observe this public charge, the chair or the chair’s designee
will ask the offending person to leave the meeting until that individual regains personal control. Should decorum
fail to be restored, the chair or the chair’s designee will recess the meeting until such time that a genuine
commitment to this public charge can be observed.

2. Commission’s mission statement
To identify, protect, and preserve Hillsborough’s architectural resources and to educate the public about
those resources and preservation in general. The Hillsborough Historic District presents a visual history of
Hillsborough’s development from the 1700s to the 1960s. In 1973, the town chose to respect that history
through the passage of the preservation ordinance creating the historic district.

B. Certificate of Appropriateness Application: 220 S. Churton St. — Applicant is requesting to fill in a
basement access. (PIN 9874-05-4774)
C. Certificate of Appropriateness After-the-Fact Application: 421 W. Corbin St. — Applicant is requesting to
paint the exterior, remove a chimney, and change out windows with different configuration. (PIN 9864-
78-2842)

A. Certificate of Appropriateness Application: 423 W. Margaret Lane — Applicant is requesting to remove an
existing shed, remove a portion of existing fencing, and construct a new accessory structure (558 sq feet)
consisting of a combination garage and art studio/storage space and construct a new portion of fence to
include a trash/recycling roll-out enclosure. (PIN 9864-75-2718)
B. Certificate of Appropriateness Application: 303 W. Corbin Street — Applicant is requesting to add a
12’x16’ building addition (192 sq feet) and deck, replace all exterior siding and trim, and replace all
windows. (PIN 9864-88-6841)
