AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7, SECTION 7-700, OF THE CODE OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, BY INCREASING MEMBERSHIP ON THE
CEMETERY RESOURCES BOARD.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Code, Chapter 7 (Boards and Commissions), Article XX,
(Sepulcher and Cemetery Board), Section 7-700 (Board established; membership) is
hereby amended as follows:
Sec.7-700.Board established; membership
A. There shall be a Maintenance of Sepulcher and Cemetery Resources Board composed of five(5) seven (7)
members,who shall be qualified for appointment by having an interest or expertise and being familiar with
the subject of enhancement and maintenance of City owned Sepulchers and Cemeteries. The Mayor shall,
with the approval and consent of a majority of the members of the City Council, appoint the members of
the Maintenance of Sepulcher and Cemetery Resources Board. All members shall be residents of the City
of Jefferson.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval.
